Signs You Need a Roofer

You can spot most early roof trouble without going anywhere near a ladder. Check these from the ground or the loft after a spell of bad weather:

• A damp patch or brown stain on the ceiling, especially one that grows after rain.
• Tiles or slates in the garden or on the drive after wind.
• Grit and moss building up in the gutters or on the path below.
• Daylight showing through the roof boards in the loft.
• Crumbling mortar on the ridge line, visible from the street.
